Recycling is picked up on Thursdays by Borough Department of Public Works.

*BULK AND BUILDING MATERIAL ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE ITEMS TO BE PICKED UP.

*GRASS and LEAVES must be placed in brown recyclable bags and left curbside for Borough DPW to pick up. Brush will also be picked up but cannot be any longer than 4’ and 4” in diameter.

*PLEASE PLACE YOUR RECYCLING OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE OR NO LATER THAN 6:00 A.M. THE MORNING OF PICKUP.  EMPTY CONTAINERS MUST BE REMOVED FROM CURBSIDE NO LATER THAN 8 A.M. THE FOLLOWING MORNING.

*Metal Cans, aluminum cans, plastic and glass are to be reasonably clean and may be co-mingled.  A maximum of three 32 gallon containers or their equivalent in clearly marked buckets will be picked up on your recycling day.  Please do not put these items inside bags of any kind.  They will not be picked up when they are inside any kind of bag.

*MAGAZINES, JUNK MAIL (INCLUDING ENVELOPES), GREETING CARDS, GIFT WRAP, CATALOGUES, PAPERBACK BOOKS , HARD COVER BOOKS, WHITE PAPER AND COMPUTER PAPER AND NEWSPAPERS. These items must be separated from your regular recycling and placed in a cardboard box, paper bag or garbage can no larger than 32 gallons or weighing no more than 50 lbs. Paper will not be accepted if it's contaminated with food, wax, dirt, mud or any other substance.

Recycle cardboard should not be tied in bundles it should just be broken down and stacked neatly It will not be collected if it is contaminated with food, wax, dirt, mud or any other substance. All cardboard boxes must be broken down.

*LARGE APPLIANCES, ELECTRONICS AND SCRAP METAL will be picked up at curbside.  Anything containing Freon will need a sticker from Borough Hall and the cost is $15.00 per item. NO PROPANE TANKS. Please call Borough Hall to schedule a pick-up of any of these items.
